A Prayer for Blessings and Encouragement – by Dr. Kathy Bullock

is a professor of music at Berea College in Kentucky, where she teaches theory and ethnomusicology and directs the Black Music Ensemble. She performs, lectures, and leads workshops in the US, western and southern Africa, Europe, and the Caribbean. She and her sisters have sung and performed together both informally and professionally most of their lives.
