Rowe Labor Day Presents: Anti-Oppression for Gays

Benjamin Seaman and Michael Currier are hosting 12 months of Anti-oppression for Gays, a drop-in group for gay, bisexual, trans, and questioning men who want to look at racism and other oppression in the queer community.

Sessions take place on the 4th Sunday of each month at 7 PM. All skin colors are welcome.

May Session:
The racial uprising of 2020 left a lot of us asking WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT RACISM? In Part 4 of our drop-in anti-oppression series for same-gender-loving men of all backgrounds, we’ll be using the study guide from Ibram Kendi’s How to be an AntiRacist to answer to look at our own participation in racist and antiracist policies. Our focus in the next meeting will be on identifying ways we could impact policy in the areas of our life where we already have influence, including Rowe Labor Day. We’ll also invlte requests for future antioppression topics which will include body positivity and queer economic justice. Come join us!
